Finishing with the model is not learning. Without a visible attempt, help becomes a spoiler and assisted success passes for mastery.

Architecture decision

Withhold the solution, release one hint rung at a time, ask for confidence before revealing correctness, and re-test the idea on a new surface with no hints.
